Vesta Kozoh DEX-810 Driving Exciter Rack

This is a very rare unit from Japan made in the 1980's and is in amazing condition. The 'Vesta Kozoh' brand is now gone (they changed names often to avoid creditors - Vestax is still alive) but in the late 80's and early 90's they made some beautiful gear in an attempt to catch on to some of the Roland success (the coloured knobs and layout are a dead giveaway).

This unit has a wonderful flavour and is amazing on drums and synths. It adds a sort of 'harmonic air' to lower frequencies almost like rolling off but with something else there. I always found it magic on digital 90's gear and drum machines. I like it more than the Aphex Aural Exciter B but given its limited production run it didn't make it out of Japan to any extent.
