AKAI ME80P Professional MIDI Patchbay [Circa.1985]

The AKAI ME80P is a programmable patchbay exclusively for MIDI signals and can functionally connect these signals between instruments, effect racks, mixers and any other studio gear equipped with MIDI. It is also possible (and sometimes more convenient) to convert the signal to USB MIDI for direct feed into your DAW with the use of speciality cables (pictured) or conversion boxes.

The unit is in super condition, having spent its life racked in my second studio. I bought this in Japan in 1989 on work experience; it is 100V but can be converted by a technician if you require. Switchable hardware racks like this make it much easier to send MIDI to and from studio equipment - press a button and the signal is merged, sent or received anywhere in your setup.
